I’m taking part in this sponsored triathlon for my daughter, Penelope, who was born with symbrachydactyly.
REACH came into our lives only a year and a half ago, when Penelope was just seven. How we went seven years without knowing about this incredible charity, I honestly don’t know.
Since finding REACH, we’ve met the most amazing people, shared stories, laughter, and tears, and felt truly understood and supported in ways I never imagined. REACH do so much for children and families like ours, and this triathlon is my way of giving something back. I’m doing this not only for the charity, but for my Penelope too — who shows me every single day that you can do anything you put your mind to. And while I’ll be taking part on the Sunday, Penelope will be taking part in her very first triathlon on the Saturday. I couldn’t be any prouder of her. 💛
So now, I’m taking on this challenge with that same mindset. For REACH. And for her.
