When? 27–28 June 2026
Where? Mallory Park, Leicestershire
For who? EVERYONE!
Pop it in your diary, add it to your calendar and grab your trainers — this summer is going to be an exciting one for our Reach community! For the first time ever, we’re partnering with ATW Events to bring you the Reach Triathlon Challenge, happening over the weekend of 27–28 June 2026 at the brilliant Mallory Park circuit in Leicestershire.

This isn’t your typical triathlon event — it’s a celebration of sport, family, friendship and collective spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned triathlete who lives for the open water, a newcomer curious about trying something new, or somewhere wonderfully in between, this is for you.
This is a fantastic chance to try something new amongst friends; if you have an Upper Limb Difference (ULD) or a child with ULD and you’ve wondered if triathlon is an option, now is the time to give it a go!
We’ve worked hard to make this weekend inclusive and fun for all — because pushing ourselves together is always more rewarding than pushing alone. And we couldn’t be more thrilled that Reach Ambassador and Paralympic triathlete Claire Cashmore MBE will be joining us along with the Para Pathway Team for support and motivation (and no doubt a few selfies) on the day.
And there are perks to joining the challenge with Reach! Participants who choose to fundraise for Reach receive a 20 % discount on their entry fee, and the online sign-up form guides you through exactly what you need to do.

What to Expect

The Reach Triathlon Challenge takes over the iconic Mallory Park — a traffic-free course set around a beautiful lake and flat bike circuit, perfect for first timers and seasoned athletes alike.
Saturday – kicks off with our Reach Family Fun Triathlon: a relaxed, untimed Swim-Bike-Run that’s perfect for families or anyone wanting to enjoy a taste of multi-sport. You can swim up to 200m, bike up to 3km and run up to 800m — or tweak that to suit you!
The action continues with competitive junior races showcasing some of the UK’s rising young stars.
Sunday – adults (15+) can choose between Super-Sprint and Sprint distances, and even team up in a relay if you fancy sharing the challenge with friends or family. Distances range from 400m swims to 20km rides and runs up to 5km.
Camping is available on site, so why not make a weekend of it? Think great company, hot drinks, tasty bites, and that unbeatable triathlon atmosphere where everyone cheers everyone else across the finish line.

Why It Matters
For Reach, the Triathlon Challenge is more than just a race. It’s a chance to bring our community together — to try something new amongst friends and support, to celebrate strength in all its forms, to push past personal limits, and to raise vital funds to keep our support and connection growing for children and families living with upper limb difference.

Whether you’re racing for time, racing with friends, or simply racing to make memories, this event embodies everything we work towards at Reach; support and encourage wherever you are on your journey.
Keep an eye on our social channels for updates, interviews, training tips, fundraising ideas and stories from people taking on the challenge. And if you’re planning to take part — whether you’re swimming, cycling, running or fundraising — we want to hear from you!
