eBay have teamed up with MissionFish to allow you to sell items on eBay and donate some or all of the amount raised to Reach. You can even Gift Aid your donation to increase the value to Reach at no extra cost to yourself.
Here's how to do it.
- Register on eBay as a seller (see ebay.co.uk for details)
- Select the items for sale and put them on as usual
- On the 'Pricing and Duration' page there is a box marked 'Donate a percentage of sale to charity'.
- Click on the drop down box and then 'Select a new Charity'. A new window will open connected to MissionFish who are handling the charity side for eBay.
- Click on the Charity Name box and type 'Reach', then click 'Search'. As this is written we are the only Reach listed, although this may change in the future.
- Click the 'Select' against the Reach entry.
- You need to be registered with MissionFish so that they can handle the payments to us, and any Gift Aid. Check the Authorisation, then click 'Agree'
- Create your MissionFish account
- When you are returned to the Pricing screen, select the percentage of the sale that you wish to donate to Reach (there is a minimum of £5 per sale) - we'd love you to donate 100% of the sale but you can select anything from 100% down to 10%
- If / When the item sells, MissionFish handle the payment to Reach
