Kirra Lee takes up BMX Racing
"Kirra-lee, she is 9 now.

This year she has decided to take up BMX racing after watching both her brothers for the last 5 years, I finally gave in and gave permission. She had a thumb made from a finger and now has some grip on the handle bars we can't strap them on as it would be dangerous, as you can see her happiness surpasses my fear.

She has also started french horn, the perfect instrument for one hand, she is a natural. We started her in a new school which was the best change, if you are not happy with a school change asap! Her old school told us we should have counselling to deal with the bullying, her new school deals with bullies(hasn't been any so far) and counsels them. Kirra-lee has Vater and ITP(low platelets) you can never tell all the things put together differnent from the outside, only her arms, but she makes up for it all in inspiration, persistence and pure joy for life. I hope she inspires some of the readers who have children with similiar challenges, these kids make us live better!!!
