Hi to everyone, especially new members.I hope you will have had a lovely Christmas and those that came to the Christmas Party had a great time. I attended my first AGM back in October and it was brilliant. The atmosphere was amazing all weekend. Professor Simon Kay from Leeds gave a talk about why he does the special job he does, which was very interesting to listen to. We also listened to Charlotte Fielder talk about a book she has nearly completed "Shared Experiences" so keep an eye out for that in the near future
We were lucky to sit with other members of our branch for dinner, the Sparrow and Warrington families. Little Max Sparrow celebrated his 3rd birthday while we were there. He never stopped dancing on the Saturday night, my little dancing partner, he was great. Thank you Max!
The next AGM will be in Bristol in October so we hope to see more of our branch there. I would also like to say a massive thank you to Kate and Glen Stewart from Grimsby, Alexa's mum and dad for inviting us to a charity gala ball in October. Glen is a member of a gentleman's group called '1096' formerly part of the Round Table. They raised an amazing £1400 for our branch and raised awareness for Reach.
Next Meeting - 26th April 2008
